Bu ders ile öğrencilere Türk Gıda Kodeksi ve TS standartlarına uygun Cam malzeme ile ambalajlama, Plastik ve plastik esaslı ambalaj materyalleri ile ambalajlama, Teneke ambalaj materyali ile ambalajlama ve Kâğıt ve karton malzeme ile ambalajlama yeterliliklerinin kazandırılması amaçlanmaktadır
Bu derste süt endüstrisinde kullanılan ambalaj materyallerini inceleyerek çeşitli süt ürünlerinde depolama sırasında oluşabilecek biyotik ve abiyotik bozulmaları öğrenerek ambalaj materyalleri ile ürünlerin raf ömürlerini arttırmak ve ambalajlama yapmak konuları işlenmektedir.
